Just "got" Fallout3.

For those of you who have it/played it, what do you think?

I think it is a good FPS RPG and looking forward to it =)

love the VATS targeting system.

I've only had the chance to play it a little bit over the last week. It's looking very promising. I'm missing the true turn-based combat, but that's a minor gripe.

Apparently the PC version is a buggy piece of crap, but that's par for the course for Bethesda releases. I've played all of the their games in this style (Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, etc.) and for some reason, the games just aren't worth playing until they have patched them about 10 times. Which is why I have a love/hate relationship with Bethesda since I'm always suckered into buying the games at release, then download patch after patch to get the game functioning properly.

I'm playing the PS3 version and so far have only managed to get myself stuck in the geometry a couple of times. No other problems so far which has my hopes up.

I love the return to XP-based leveling. Aside from the bug issues i *loathe* the leveling systems used in their other games. It makes no sense to level yourself by jumping up and down 1000 times, or be in a situation to intentionally *not* level yourself to avoid impossibly hard encounters.

Overall i'm excited to have this game, although it seems to be playing more like a Sci-Fi Spin off of Oblivion than a true sequel to Fallout 2. Very cool and creative game though.

fking POS bugs! game has crashed/frozen on me 10 times. I gave up. *watch my brother play on the 360*

This game is INSANE fun, just played through to the end. But Luckily could load up a savegame just before the last euhm "action" so I can play all the quests! When that's done I'll have to start a new game and play the evil dude, light up megaton etc...

I like it. Its Oblivion with guns. Get one of the few swords in the game, go in a cave, and you'll swear you're playing Oblivion.

i havent played any of the other fallouts.... from the story line and plot sounds like i have to play those first

I think he knows the dad dies, because last night he was playing and people were saying how sorry they were, bla bla. He's got to be pretty far into the game by now. I will tell him about the code... but are you serious? That's the end? Lame.

I just got it as well and plan on playing it....

the other week i finisehd Mass Effect and really enjoyed that too. I like games where actions determine outcome..i got a feeling I will not be a nice guy in Fallout 3...

Fallout 3 is one amazing game - I am totally hooked by it . What's strange is that I normally have no interest in so called RPG games. This is different!!! No need to use the crappy VATS if you don't have the (ingame stat) skills for it - just aim like you would on a normal FPS and let rip - BOOM - mini nuke explosions!!!

I kill everyone I can (on this runthrough at least)
