X5 M - Testing Video

http://www.caradvice.com.au/20027/vi...totype-teaser/

Quote:
The brand had previously ignored the idea of an M variant for the X5 and X6 models; however the current climate for performance SUVs has proved far too alluring.

The new BMW X5 M will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine which should develop more power than the current V10 engines in the M5 and M6 - potentially as high as 373kW and 700Nm.

In addition, the X5 M will also boast trademark M exterior features such as pumped guards, sports bodykit and quad oval exhaust pipes.

Looks like its really moving around that track. I still hate big suvs for everyday use since i see it as unnecessary but a M version is the most unnecessary thing ever created.

that's too excessive for me. yea they will look appealing but it's nothing more than a big heavy machine that can do no better than go fast in a straight line with a lot of noise.

as if driving a new SUV isn't embarrassing enough, getting an M just says More gas.

Great timing to bring out another twin turbo SUV, BMW. All this is going to do is compete against the X6 5.0i.

Garage List
Considering how the car market is at the moment and where the future of the industry looks to be pointing I doubt the X-?M will make it to production.
