Be careful of where she shot it. There's a Mad Cow Disease (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) in deer (Chronic Wasting Disease). We're not certain whether it is transmissible to humans.

Should be ok to eat. Even if it isn't, venison is mad good.
