+1 (I have three of these for personal use, still a PC for work)
Any one that fits your fancy. Lowcost = MacMini Good Desktop = iMac Professional desktop that is over priced = Mac Pro Good Notebook= Macbook Professional level notebook= Macbook Pro Overpriced notebook= Macbook Air This is still up for debate. If you have a smart user, I would say you don't really have to. There are some "proof of concept" mac viruses, but currently nothing in the wild. That being said, AV for a Mac is about twice the cost it is on a PC.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201365 If you want to split hairs, you're technically correct as the thread I referred to deals with a trojan, not a virus. I'm sure the difference doesn't matter much to those that are infected with it though. I will add that I personally don't run any sort of AV software on my Mac, but I also know how to deal with malware a little better than your average bear. |
