Audi A5 (Almost) Breaks Cover

Audi A5 (Almost) Breaks Cover

Spy photographers have captured a new round of Audi's forthcoming A5 luxury coupe.
This time the typical black and white layer of disguise is missing on the test car, and a lot more can be seen of the new model’s final styling.
The A5 – codenamed AU 474/475 is a sporty 2 + 2 seater coupe adapting the design of Audi's Nuvolari concept car, which was on display at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2003.

The coupe appears to be considerably larger than the current A4, almost the size of today's A6. It is estimated to measure 4.70 m in overall length.
The new A5 Coupe is expected to be released in mid-end 2007, while the convertible will not arrive for another year.

Nice looking car, looks like bmw and audi are both folllowing similar trends in body design, flows and curve mixed in with hard lines.

However, this car just seems a bit too big for anything but a cruiser, so its definitly not for me

Right- the A5 competes with the 6-series coupe/cabrio.

The photoshop is almost spot-on. Looks very close to the reality.
This might be the first Audi that successfully incorporates the shield grille.
The rest of the Audi line-up looks like they slapped those wide-mouths
on without getting the proportion right. Roofline on the camoed is a tad too high - but other than that a
very formidable looking car.
