Prodrive, Aston Martin and Ron Dennis

Prodrive appear to be ascending and are at the front of the pack to acquire Aston Martin. Interestingly, a separate story (see second link) has linked McLaren boss Ron Dennis with a sell-out to Mercedes and a buy into Prodrive. He would obviously bring a wealth of skill and experience to a prodrive F1 team (being set up for 2008), as well as a link to McLaren-Mercedes resources.

More interesting, though, would be to see David Richards (Prodrive owner) and Ron Dennis heading up an Aston Martin-branded F1 team with Prodrive underpinnings and McLaren Mercedes chassis...

Get ready for an Aston Martin-branded F1 car... Too bad that BMW didn't get it, though. I still think BMW and AM would be a match made in heaven...
