TT 2.0, 135i, A5, 335 coupe, 128i vert, C300
ok well it turns out in September i will be shopping again because my FX is up on lease and i need a driveway mate for my G. And those are my choices right now. as many of you know I passed on the 135 because the lease was out of the roof. but things seems to be calming down now. so as of now these are what the girlfriend and i have narrowed it down to. and here is how we feel. these are our concerns. performance is not number one to us either. opinions please
135i overall best bang for the buck, not sold on looks, kinda small, not many amenities. A5, S-Line slightly over priced, looks are badass, interior is the best, exclusive TT 2.0 styling is great, audi quality, SMALL ( a negative), again, slightly pricey 335 coupe styling is so so unless we get sport, might be dated soon, performance is of course above all 128i vert because the GF wants it C300 4 matic, sport not sure about a sedan (but we already have the G), quality is top notch, styling is A+, features and amenities are pretty good, hardly any performance aspects though :iono: |

Or wait for the new A4..Honestly from an FX to a 2 door rwd car...you will probably need some room as the G37 trunk is pretty small.Id skip the 1 series in your case and jump either to a 3er or something else. We all need *That* car and the 1 doesnt fit the bill.

It's a tough decision. I had a c230 sport for about four years and while I liked the car, I never really bonded with the stick in the benz. I looked at cars for about a year, finally narrowing down my choice to the Audi TT and the Boxster.
I was about to pull the trigger on the TT when I drove a 128 convertible on a lark. The 128 just blew me away. Although I prefer the TT's styling, the 128 excelled in most other areas - I found it quieter, more solid, more connected to the road. |

My FX lease is up in December, so technically, I too am going from an FX to a 135i and don't mind it at all...gonna experiment w/snow tires on the E30 for the 2-3 significant snowfalls we have every year. Worse comes to worse - I will buy a 1996-99 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the snow for $2500-3000 but we will see.

Yeah, and I agree. the best part about the 1er is it isn't sold on looks like you say, so i wouldn't be embarrassed to drive a 1er to volunteer at a school or shelter where a cayman or a benz would probably have me getting a ride.
benz's are big and dont seem to be about the driving experience as much, or at least not about the sporty driving experience. |

I'd go for the S5 in your position. Only reason I didn't consider it was it's NA, and wouldn't therefore compete with the 135 up here in Denver.
That car has a SICK interior - feels like a bentley. |

yea i know but performance is not a priority, i already have G37S. And i think the styling of the audi beats the 135.

S5 is a little out of the box pricewise compared to everything else listed. Those are like $60k with a few choice options. Realistically it's up there in the M3/C63/IS-F/RS-4 price range.
