Just to say Thanks
Good day everyone, just wanted a place to show my appreciation for an act of kindness my wife and I received today during brunch. I came from the flight line this AM and met my wife for brunch at Cracker Barrel. Well, halfway through brunch the waitress brough our check and said that someone had paid for our meal. The receipt said Thank you for your service and God Bless as well as Merry Christmas, my wife was so touched it got her teary eyed. In the short few years I have been in the Army this has happened several times and the feeling I get is still hard to describe. I never really felt like any of it was necessary or warranted because I truly love what I do and I am adequately compensated, so I try not to travel or go out in uniform as to not attract attention.
If you or anyone you know have ever done something like this, I thank you from the bottom of mine and my wife's heart. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and I wish you safe and expedient travels.

Wow. It really is the small things in life that matters. I never said it but I am most appreciative of your services to this country and to us all!:w00t: It dosent matter that we will most likely always disagree politically. We all want whats best.

Kyle, it is nice when someone takes the time to thank you for your service when you hear all the crap that some say about the military. I thank you as well for the selfless decision to join an all voluntary military in a time of war.

Again, thanks for all your support. It is rewarding enough just to love what you do, but they support of everyone else makes it that much better. I hope everyone else here enjoys what they do as well.

Yeah...it is a truly humbling feeling when it happens. Not trying to sound cliche but it does make you realize that what you are doing is greater than just you...A whole nation depends on you and when they give you unsolicited thanks (in whatever form it may take) you feel it even more. Much thanks Brother! Go Army!(wink, wink)

So TRUE! I know soldiers go through a lot and do a lot for us, I'm glad my friends are there in the military defending our country, they help me understand what theyre really doing and help me see beyond the news.. Our Soldiers should never be our enemys... I thank yall for everything.
