Anyone ever hear of this author. S.M. Stirling

I just started one of his novels which is the 1st in a trilogy of books that basically chronicals the end of modern civilization as a result of some sort of electric storm that takes out all electricity and renders all explosive devices inoperable (i.e., guns, cars, etc.)

I started the book on Friday, and can't get enough of it.

The third book in the trilogy has just been released.

Good stuff if anyone is looking for a fun read.
