My wife says she never gets any good pics of me because I'm always taking the pictures. So even though I have zilch portrait experience, I did a little experimenting and came up with this.....like it?

I think it is too blurry in the parts that matter (the face), seems like the focus was off or the depth of field was too low. Also I would adjust the levels some to get a more well rounded tone, its a bit on the dark and muddy side. I like the background.

Not a great image to start from but heres what you can do with a few adjustments in like 10 minutes. Sharpening, levels and curves adjustments, despeckling and noise reduction, minor cloning and healing, and a few masks. The right side is still too blurry but meh I'm not god.

Sorry Neil...I specifically shot it the way I shot it, and Photoshoped it for surreal look that it has. Your opinion notwithstanding, I prefer the original.
