Mercedes W211 Spoiler Question

What is the difference between the E55 & E63 AMG spoiler?
Which would look better on the pre-facelifted version?
Thanks

The W211 E55 AMG did not come stock with a spoiler.

The E63, however, did. Many mbworlders are retrofitting E63 spoilers on their 55s.

When you say "retrofitting" The E63 Spoiler will fit on the E55 just like that or is their a slight difference in meaurements?

I used to know that this word means that it is a part that doesn't fit or work, but it is made to with slight adjustments.
Please correct me if im wrong

Thanks for the info btw

It should fit, although the trunk of the E63 is slightly different. Ask your dealer.

I have been told that the E63 spoiler is just a bit steeper than the E55 spoiler but is it the same in length? Is there any other differences?

From what I understand from Mbworld, the trunks are identical, except for the chrome strip that runs across the back.

The E63 spoiler will fit on the E55.

I posted this same thread on benzworld.org and got no reply.
The boys on this forum could help me out with my benz rather than the ones on the benz forum. Thats sad.

Is mbworld the better one?

Benzworld? Benzworld is stupid. You got it mixed up. MBWorld has the best AMG threads of all forums. Why didn't you click on the link I sent you? There was even a thread about this very subject there. If you are an AMG/MB owner you should be a member of MBWorld.org.

Here, try it again, my friend: http://www.mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg-81/

I did a search on "spoiler" and got several hundred hits. Simple.

There's a strong group of AMG owners on mbworld. It's a tough crowd but they know their stuff. Like they say over there, "run your car, not your mouth." Jakpro1, Chromikey, Jangy, blackbenzz, LZH, JAYCL600, rarfinancial, juicee63, MB_Forever, V12GodSpeed. Some outrageously fast rides.

They are very hooliganish over there (if that is even a word). Even the mods join in on the fun.

MBworld is definitely a strongly knit group, but you'll find them to be very helpful.

You guys should check out their threads about forged 360 wheels

My tag is the same as the one I use here. What year's your W211?

My W211 is a late 2005 E200 Kompressor, the most basic one you can buy because import taxes is rediculous over here. The price paid is the equivalent to an E55 AMG in the USA. It belongs to my dad and he will be passing it on to me at the end of the year so he could get his new ride. Im just looking to get a few goodies for it so i'll be looking good for my senior year

What is something unique, but not costly that i could do to it?

I hear ya. Taxes are ridiculous in Korea as well. You're looking at double what you're paying in the 'states.

Hmm..I guess the typical inexpensive upgrades like hyper-white fog light bulbs, interior bulbs, etc would be a good start.

congrats on the new ride
