I like them both. Color balance is just right in each.

On the 2d one I'd "Clone" out that light post. It grabs way too much attention in my eyes. I might try tighter Cropping first, but I think you got the Crop right and just need to remove that distraction. I'm not too bothered by Sharpness on the 2d, but you might be able to bring it up a little.

the light post is a nuisance, for sure. it's the only shot where i didn't clone it out, though for some reason. :\
(in the first shot, there's a cloud and a light post missing, and a light post that got 'dwarfed').

That's interesting. When I first looked at the two pictures I saw that they were from only slightly different perspectives and then looked at the common elements in the background. That first one has a pole in the middle of the skyline and it doesn't bother me too much, because it's in the middle of a bunch of other vertical lines. If I were going to use one of these as my desktop I'd clone a bunch of stuff out. (Aren't we spoiled?) Both are worthy of further development.

Honestly, the first one is probably the finest BMW pics I've seen in a long time. You've done pretty much everything correctly in Photoshop! It's BMW advertisement material.
