Virtual Stock Market?
is there something like a virtual stock market where we beginners can practice? like a video game, start with xxx amount of virtual dollars and invest and see how much we can make before the real deal?
kind of like the fantasy baseball stuff.

Yahoo is probably the best. THe only way to do this is to "paper trade" the actual market. No one understands the process by which stock prices evolve well enough to build a realistic simulator.

You start with $100,000. You can trade all the stock available in the current market and prices are updated daily. Trading options include selling, shorting, put option, call option...etc. Have fun! |

Not really a virtual stock market per se, but you can see how well you do relative to the S&P with the stocks you pick, and then see how you stack up with the rest of the Caps community.

what kind of frequency are you looking at, what products are you looking to trade, etc
only equities? maybe futures? etc... you can get demo accounts and use an interface like X trader, tradestation, esignal, etc etc at alot of brokerages
