Thumbs up Shoot for a friend

Went out this weekend and took a few shots for a good friend of mine trying to break out in the music business. Lemme know what you guys think, creative commentary more than welcome as always on here

looks great, it's your style you should keep it unless your friend wants it differently.

i like the first pic the most.

just my 2 cents.. I think the 1st pic is over-processed, you might want to lower the contrast a little bit. or maybe you did it intentionally to show the contrast? I like the first shot the best though, with all that being said. I would also try to reflect some light from the bottom, to eliminate some of the shadows on the face. Because it is for a music video, I guess that would be ok? (depending on what your theme is).

Because there are only a few photos, not too sure what your theme is and what is it you're trying to capture?

Just my 2 cents and sorry for the comments if you dont like them. I said them, just because you said you are helping your friend to break out, and to break out, you might want to take another set. These are great photos by all means, but just trying to see what can make yours stand out, if you know what I mean.

definitely appreciate the feedback, I prefer the harsh stuff, it makes me look for whats wrong!

I agree, the first is a bit over processed, I had spent about 1 min per pic just to try to get her an array of examples. The theme would be for like an album cover or the inside jacket for a cd/poster of some sort.

The theme is open for now, shes looking for "vintage" which is very broad, so I figured if I took a variety of scenes for the first time around, we could start to narrow down what she was looking for

will get back with the 2nd shoot which is a little more focused

im happy with the quality of the pics though, really enjoying the two lenses I brought out for the shoot still...my children!
