Question Paypal help - need to submit proof...

Basically a friend of mines wanted me to buy some Timberland sunglasses going very cheap on Ebay. It was £24.99 which is just about $40. However, when I received the sunglasses the Timberland logos on both sides didn't match. They were in different positions, and the texture on both arms is different.

I am 100% sure the item is FAKE despite the seller advertising them as genuine. I have launched a Paypal claim but Paypal want me to submit third-party word to confirm the item is fake. The proof can come from anyone who is qualified or has a good enough background to give judgement.

I have around 8 days left to fax this info to Paypal. I dont really care about the money, but a lesson needs to be learnt by these stupid sellers. They ruin the Ebay experience for everyone else and our loss is their gain.

Does anyone have any ideas? If there is anyone that can type a short note for me it would be greatly appreciated because I can show pics of the item to prove what I'm saying. I can then print and fax the note to Paypal to secure my claim.

Is there an authorized Timberland retailer near you? You can take the glasses to them and ask them to give you a letter stating whether they are genuine or not.

Good idea actually. However, it is inconvenient to me to go to the retailer (yeah, there is only one in the whole country)

Take a few pictures of the glasses and email them to the company and see if they'll verify if the glasses are fake.
