Anyone have an Olympus Digital SLR?
I still own and use an Olympus OM-1 and OM-2 film camera.
I would like to get an Digital SLR. Is there anyone who can tell me if the Olympus E-330 or the E-500 would be a better buy? In terms of picture quality and options? The E-1 is way out of my price range. Thanks |

If you truly like photography like me, get Nikon Lens with either Fujifilm or Nikon Digital SLR Body. Get ready to spend about $5000 for lens and body which you can use for life time. Or buy point and shoot digital camera with Carl Zeis(sp) Lens. If you do buy Nikon Lens, get ED Lens, they produce best color I have seen.

Both models of Olympus you mention are very good cameras. You may also
consider the E-400 which was anounced in September. In the price range of the E-330, you may also consider the Nikon-D70 or the D70s. They are the top cameras for the price/category and they also come with 18-70mm lense. |

I will also do some research on the Nikon's Many of the online reviews have picked the Olympus models over some of the Nikon's -- but I will still take look and see. |

has chosen to focus on the E-500 and E-330 models here. So yes you are right you only have to pick between those two and consider the Nikon ones. I think given the choices, you won't go wrong. Best of luck on your purchase. |
