When they revived Megatron you see the other decepticons using parts from the other dead one, Brawl, the tank in the first movie, to fix Megatron up. He's a flight capable tank!!!

it was kinda hard to follow all this ( i had no idea where they got the dead robot from) but I still enjoyed it :P

The movie was Michael Bay doing what Michael Bay does best. HE BLOWS SHIT UP.

as a movie, it was okay... as one giant explosion, it was INCREDIBLE!

I look at it this way: I paid $11 to be entertained. And? I was thoroughly entertained for the entire 149 minutes... money well spent IMO

watched it again today, more awake this time, can someone explain why they could revive megatron with the shard but they couldnt do that for prime?

All of the shards were used up. The shard that the humans had in their bumker was used for megatron and the one that sam had brought Jetfire out of stasis lock. Therefore the only thing that could revive Prime was the Matrix of Leadership

There is still the shard that is locked up in Mikayla's motorcycle shop vault

Definitely much more secure than the military installation that had the shard that brought back megatron

I enjoyed this one, some cheesy parts for sure, 8/10

The real question - who do you like better: Megan Fox or Isabel Lucas?

The shard in the vault was used to bring back jetfire out of stasis lock. Mikalea brought it and Wheelie to Sam when she caught him tongueing it with the decepticon..

Just saw the movie and I thought it was a little too long. It could be that I was a little sleepy but I didn't think the movie was that good. It was just okay for what it is but I wouldn't pay to see it again.

I know but that's my problem; why bring jetfire back on the quest to find a power source to save prime. Just use the damn shard. Done.

Um Shard won't work on Prime. He was dead. Jetfire was in hibernation or whatever. Prime needed the Matrix thing.

-jetfire was one of the ancient transformers who could read all of that babble inside of Sam's head. he translated it and transwarped them to egypt where the sun-harvester was and also the matrix to revive optimus prime.

Then how come it worked on Megatron? Wasn't he brought back to life with a shard?

The shard would have worked on prime but there was none left. Remember Sam found his on accident when he went through his jacket and the last "known" shard was in military hands which the Decepticons took. Therefore the only way to revive Prime was the Matrix...

Again, that was at the start of the film before prime was killed; megan fox had the shard with her.

megatron was cryogenically frozen at the beginning of the first movie and at the end of the movie megatron was short circuited by the allspark....in the second movie the shard "restarted" megatron

Optimus was stabbed through the "heart" and thus bled out and died....

In human terms: Megatron in essence was induced into a heart attack and died....but was revived with a defibrillator. Optimus had a knife stabbed into his heart thus rendering the defibrillator useless.
