To all the audiophiles out there! need advice

Well, I am looking for a pair of active monitors for home theater use. I need a simple setup, just something I could plug into the RCA outputs of a cable box.

I have my eye set on a pair of Avantgarde Solos (pictured) but they are a little above my price range...

Please help me find my perfect setup!! Price range: <$5000 including tax and cables
