I went and test drove the 2010 Mazda 3 hatch, not the MS3 but same styling minus scoop, rims and wing and no turbo. Not a bad little car. Much more roomy then you would expect from looking at it and got around pretty well and I'm sure will be even better with a turbo strapped to it.
At 24k it came with a lot of nice features, keyless entry(much like CA), push button start, dual climate control, leather, xenons, nav(although it kinda sucked, not the unit but how you controled through a steering wheel button). I see the MS3 selling for around 27K which isn't exactly horrible since the VW GTI/GLI which are it's competitors are in that price range as well.
