I hope the IS-F is a trademark for success, not failure.

The biggest risk is not recognising a risk.
I think it will be naive to take anything away from Lexus.

I have three letters in response AMG - great engines looking for a car that can handle well enough. MB have been shoehorning huge engines in their cars for a while now, but they are all automatic (over here in NA) and their handling is not up to the standards of their competion, including BMW. I have no reason to doubt Lexus' competence, but I am sure that their F will be more like the AMGs of this world than the Ms.

In the end we are all in the dark of course, we'll have to wait and see what all the F is about (sorry could not resist)

I just don't see the need for a couch to have 415 hp. Unless of course they tighten everything up, which I don't think they know how to...

Hope this explains it better..
I completely agree--the IS250 was a joke, completely underpowered and terrible on the turns and braking. The 350 was fast, but the other problems were magnified with the higher level of HP. My 328 would be no match for the 350 off the line, but would destroy it in every other performance category--not to mention the BMW 335 is simply out of the IS's league--thus you have the car in the above video. I wouldn't trust the Lexus like I do the Bimmer, but it might be interesting to take one of these new ones for a ride and see how much (if at all) Lexus has improved their performance shortcomings.

x2

I'd keep an open mind on this. In a few years, I'll be in the market for a new car, and while my next car will likely be another BMW, who knows?

That can't be the way the exhaust will look when all is said and done. Someone at Lexus is bound to step in and slap some sense into that tailpipe design before it is final.
