1/4 mile: M6 vs NSXR, 997 turbo, hayabusa video

I don't speak Japanese but the 1/4 mile times are quite obvious at Best Motoring. The NSX R is faster than the M6 because it weighs only 1100kgs

Very entertaining.

That M6 gets spanked.

NSX-R is pretty quick. Hattori and Tsuchiya aren't drag racers though.

1/4 mile means nothing, just entertaining at best.

0-150-0 is the real test of a car. Most of those cars don't even get out of second gear in the 1/4 mile.

Yes I do. 1/4 miles are really good for anything but stoplight racing, showing the size of your dick, and proving that you just got your license

If you really want to test a car, let it get into its stride a bit more. Most of these cars were never intended to be that quick through the 1/4 mile. Let the M6 run a bit and you will see what it can do. Too much wheel spin off the line, but once it gets into its stride, it will be gone. You can see the cars catching up to the others, and then it is over.

0-150-0 test is a standing start up to 150mph, then hard on the brakes back to 0. Fastest car wins. Magazines have been testing this way for years. There is a Japanese show that also tests the cars at a longer distance.

quarter mile is for stoplight it cant take with evo or any other car.m6 yes its a great car but stoplight or at the track its not very good.if u read one of the mag, they test it with 15 other cars and m6 was way behind in the league and the lower league.m6 its just a heavy luxury car with a v10.as much as i love m6 and m5 but at the track and at the stop light it cant do anything.the only advantage is just a v10 that can do high mph. but if u do track or quarter its shit for the price.if u compare a v10 vs a F6 of 911 im sure 911 have mph advantage vs v10 because of its heavy weight.for 100 G car i would rather get 911 gt3 or aston martin, Sl even if it ever come with a stick.

Agreed about the(997)GT3(RS please) but for trackday use, you don't want an Aston or a SL either, then the M6 suits better. 100% for sure

Or a F430 Stradale...

Anyway the zero to whatever speed tractionproblems of the M6 and the tractionadvantage of the NSX R(midengine rwd) are the points here I guess.

Getting the GT3, I agree with, but then you went ahead and actually put in the SL(500) and V8 Vantage in the same class as it. The SLs are pigs that weigh more than the M6, and save the AMGs, they are slow too. The M6 would eat the Vantage up from a stoplight.

And my first post regarding Hattori and Tsuchiya, what I meant was that they are awesome drivers, but drag racing isn't their specialty.

i didnt say that they were good driver or bad driver, what i meant was if they were bad driver and pull 12.6 on an evo , imagine a good drag driver would pull on the evo.and i would take the SL 550 over m6 becuase of hardtop vert and aston martin becuase of the looks. but before any of that, i would get the gt3
