I went to the dealer and sat in it, as well as going over numbers on paper. I already got a $1k under MSRP offer from them. My MSRP was $53,075 including destination. I really dont understand the "335i VS S4" comparisons going on here. I want to buy a 4 wheel drive car to have for the winter so my comparison will obviously be between the xi and the s4, not between the 335i and the S4. That does not make sense. Anyway, putting that aside, when you price both cars with ALMOST equal options (bmw being the one that lacks a few options in the end in order the stay around the same price range as the s4), the 335xi still ended up with a $55k MSRP while the Audi came out with a $53k MSRP. So thats your comparison. I got the Audi down to $52k already. Can you get the 335xi down to $52k from $55k? Let's say you do. We all know what you end up with when you go for the 335xi... a slower car (since the xi is a bit slower), an uglier interior, a car that does not take a beating well since the turbos and oil shoot up after a few pulls, and a smaller car. What Audi lacks? The Navi did not look as nice, and was not as practical as ours...I guess because I am used to my Navi (I have a 2009 so its a 2nd gen navi). You can say that BMW is a drivers car, but the facts point in a different direction. Audi offers a sports differential, custom damping, engine dynamics, shifts, and a 7 speed dual clutch. These are the options that pulled me into an M3 or M5 because I have choices for my drive. The 335 gives you what choices for your tranny, suspension, and shifts? We can't even get the damn DCT 335 in the states! Anyway, I will post a full test and video tomorrow after I take the S4 for a test drive. Edit: BMW won in the service department thus far since they have the maintenance program. Although, they did offer me free "Audi Care" which I guess is free oil changes and such. I also liked my BMW dealer (Rallye BMW) a lot more than the Audi dealers I have seen. Anyone know a good Audi dealership in the NY area?

Good luck with the test drive, it will be interesting what you make of it's exhaust note and ride quality, two things I thought were promising. Hope the one you sample has sportsdiff and the steering system as both make a world of difference to it's character when setup correctly.

Thank you for being, what seems like, one of about 10 posting members who do not wear rose colored glasses. You have an e93. I had an e90 335. The idea of respecting another brand and or at least giving it a shot for a spot in the garage is almost crime like here. Let us know how it goes.

Their comparisons are not fair at all, that's what pisses me off. It's like a guy with a Mustang GT comparing to a 335 because they have similar power. Or like a guy with a JB3 335i comparing to a stock M3 and saying the 335i is just as good. When those happen, 335i/M3 fans flip out, but when comparing an S4 and 335xi, everything gets twisted. Even the guys that took away the X-drive for the comparison...how the hell are they going to compare a 335i with RUN FLAT TIRES to an S4 for handling? Then they say "oh you can swap out the tires, oh you can add a JB3 and make it faster, blah blah"...well then sorry, you don't own what BMW offers you anymore, you own a car that you customized yourself because what BMW offered did NOT satisfy you. If I get the Audi, I don't have to swap out the tires, I can control the suspension so I don't have to fight with myself about getting Sports Suspension or not get it, like I did with the 335i. Anyway, like I said, full review with video tomorrow when I test drive it on the west side highway in NYC.

It was weird but had a raspy grunt (the exotic raspy not the g35 raspy). I just called now to make sure the car has the Audi Driver Select so I can play around with every setting. If it doesnt, I'm going back for another test drive with a car that has ADS. lol

Going to test drive an S4 tomorrow at Audi of Maitland. Hopefully it looks as good in person as it does on paper. FWIW, the B8 doesn't look nearly as good in person as it does on paper.

The lip stands out more and the interior looks much nicer in person. What I didn't like was the navi controller. Fk, if they are going to copy it from BMW at least copy it right and dont come up with your own stupid version of the iDrive just to try and beat BMW! I swear, I haven't seen a better navi setup than the 2009 BMW Navi. That was one of the biggest concerns I had with buying a 2007 M5 and selling my 335! Let me know what you think of the navi tomorrow. I'm trying to read the manual for it so I know my way around on friday.

They have had them here for about a month.
I have seen the blue, met black, black and silver. As a silver guy I was not as impressed with it on this car as the Phantom black and black. It sets the brushed mirrors off very well. The car has a sleeper look. It is sporty but refined. Still looking for it in white. My other car color choice. The blue is not for me, ever.

Yea I'm going for white with red/black interior. Question: Does anyone know if you can get the Audi Driver Select without getting the prestige package? The prestige package seems like a waste of $3k to me for this I don't want to get or pay for such as rear airbags, sun shades, rear heated seats, blah blah. All I want is the Leather, Navi, and Audi Driver Select. Everything else comes standard with the car including power everything, rear view camera, heated front seats, bluetooth, etc... Unlike the 335 that doesnt have standard from floor mats.

As someone said earlier the MMI (Audi's version of I-drive) isn't as good as the latest version of I-drive, when it came out it was competing with the earlier version and was superior. In fact BMW adopted the Audi's button idea for some of the main menus around the main controller. It the interface that the latest I-drive has that's so good.
