... why?

Actually I guess it makes sense if there is one dealership to serve the entire state.

There is actually another 10 miles away...it may be surprising but there is alot of money in Minnesota with Corporate HQ's for Target, Pillsbury, General Mills, 3M and Cargill..oh and Prince lives nearby.......see him once in awhile in his purple 6 series.

From 494 It looks like a dressed up parking garage, something you'd see downtown a major city where land is an issue.
I cant believe they spent months of intense design development for that big box look.
It's nothing like the beautiful Best Buy bldg diagonally from it.

Maybe to serve those people fleeing CA's terrible economy that might end up in MN,ND(Fargo)...

I lived there for about 10 years. Minnetonka is a very affluent area outside of Minneapolis. Lake Minnetonka is a very large and beautiful lake, and there are many mansions built around the shoreline.

That's why.

Is this to replace one of the dealers that's already up there?

Isn't there like 4 BMW dealers in the Minnepolis/St. Paul area already?

I know one was already 3 or 4 stories tall when I was up there last about a year ago, I mean one that was actually open, it wasn't this one being built.

I'm sure you'll be able to challenge Prince in a game of basketball. He'll beat you and then serve you some pancakes...bitches.

Hope they have a very large service area to accomodate the amount of cars they are going to need to sell. Could be a long wait!

Would love to see the show room once its finished.

Probably the largest in the world. You can have the slalom on the first level followed by a sweeper leading onto the second level then some offset walls and some 90 degree turns on the 3rd level.

That not likely the public "Grand Opening", I would more bet that will be the "soft opening" for owners, investors, BMW individuals, employees, friends and family and top tier clients.

Beacause it's about 15 degrees there right now. Are you going to go look at a car sitting in a lot somewhere when it's 15 outside, or go look at the same car inside at 70 degrees. Makes no sense for LA or Miami. It's all about the climate

I might have to visit this place on my pilgrimage to the Wayzata Amoco.
