I started on a ninja 650R which I sold just yesterday and recouped all my money. It was the next owners first bike as well. Not to mention insurance was dirt cheap and about half of the R6 or gsxr600

This is an outstanding starter motorcycle. I have read all the other posts regarding MSF and starter bikes and I wholehartedly support all of them. I have been riding for over 20 years during which time I've crashed my share and owned a wide variety of bikes. The bike in the picture will teach you everything you need to know with less likelyhood of killing or worse disfiguring yourself... Enjoy the ride!
