New Video: Rails and Follow Focus Test

Just got some new video gear for my 5DmkII and here's a quick test video. It's pretty rough right now. I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to video, but it's a lot of fun.

Test video:

And the setup:

err, i guess you have the indisliderpro? is it smooth? does it rock on the carriage?
i think i'm just going to go the igus route until i feel like dropping $ on the cinevate.

Yea the indislider pro. It's very sturdy, but I don't have experience with any other slider to say if it's smooth or not. I feel like it could be smoother, but I still need to spend some time making adjustments to it. I also thought about adding some grease to the rails. Not sure if that's a good idea or not.

I checked it again and it does rock a little bit. Didn't quite understand what you meant at first. But I have to literally lift the camera for it to do it. I'm pretty sure I can get rid of the play by adjusting the plate and retightening the screws.

i think 4 feet of the igus track and carriage is about $160. extremely smooth stuff. just add on that a good head and legs. the cinevate is the one to get though, if you need weight for mattebox, follow-focus and heavy head.
but for the price, the indislider works if you work with it.

This slider was 499, but as rodi mentioned, there are many options out there.
