I didnt think BMW would respond to Audi's low blows .
Its not only cliched. Its just a terrible commercial. It didnt keep my interest at all. It was simply very boring.

And common, I thought that BMW was above directly calling out competitors.

I really do miss the old "Ultimate Driving Machine" commercials.......

Hopefully Munich will get a new ad agency or direction soon.

Yeah, gotta agree with that. I was cringing at the end.

Audi's ad during the Olympics about "second place" really kicked BMW, and this is their response? It kind of felt like some kid in high school getting pushed around by a bully, then instead of fighting back, lecturing him on how he'd come in first at the Academic Decathlon or something. Yeah, that's a great comeback...

The physics lesson isn't bad in theory, but the acting is really corny, and the way it's dubbed just sucks...

sad that bmw has to go down to Audi's level w/the low blows, but what can you expect? The car of choice for professionals these days are Audis, and they are the bulk of who buy high end automobiles for themselves or their spouses.

Audi, along with Mercedes Benz, have surpassed BMWs in terms of styling. I love my BMW, but i much prefer the styling of an E46 330i ZHP over an E90 335 Mtech or BMW performance. I still like the E9x M3 over the other companies competitive products (S4 and C63AMG). But BMW's lineup looks a bit odd compared to their rivals.

BMW should just resort to not making ads. How many Ferrari ads do you see and the cars sell themselves. Same goes with Porsche. Their new ads are so rare, but so inspiring. The Panamera family tree ad is horrendous, but thats because I don't like the idea of a 4 door family Porsche (even the Cayenne).

It seems as though you make advertisements in order to clear the air on certain topics. For the longest time, general consensus is that BMWs were financial money pits. The new 4 year maintenance free program has cleared the air on that.

I guess the fact that BMWs have become soft mass produced vehicles needs to be cleared up with these advertisements stating that there is "Joy" vs. Ultimate Driving Experience

Who knows. I have enjoyed driving my 335 for the past 1.5 years and look forward to driving it till the wheels come off.

love the face of the kid when he looks at the audi in the parking lot lol, but sriously bmw shouldnt show audis in their ads its bad taste, they left their position as the one everyone else tries to get off the podium with brand bashing commercials

Joy!

I've owned my (E36) 318is since new - almost sixteen years. I still have regrets that I traded in my (E30) 1985 318i coupe... I should have held onto that car, too! Each car provided years of great driving, through all kinds of weather, over all kinds of roads.

At the time of purchase, there were other cars available with (choose one or two...) more horsepower, more amenities, better mileage, more cylinders, etc. But BMW had the best mix of all these when also considering driver involvement, control, and yes, joy. Even I complain about BMW vehicles that don't suit my ideas of what a BMW should be (like the X6 and 5er GT), but I can't argue with BMW's commitment to well-engineered, fun-to-drive vehicles.

Decades after purchasing my first BMW, I am still enamored by some of the vehicles BMW produces - and I can hardly wait to get my hands on a new one! This time, I will KEEP the old one.
