2010 Audi A4

quick question, how reliable are the new audi a4's. my friend is in the market of buying a new car but she has a limit of 30k and i know the a4 is a lil more then 30k but if its a good reliable car she will go ahead and get it. alot of people have been scaring her about how bad audi are and they always break down.

How reliable? Only issue I've heard of regarding the B8 A4 is the steering wheel vibrations at low and high speeds but that has been fixed in MY2010.

Between a 328xi, C300 4MATIC, and A4 Quattro, I'd probably go with the A4 again. Interior beats the competition and I believe it's the largest of the three.

Audi is simpply not up to par to BMW or MB. Audi blows both out of the water in terms of design but quality and tolerances are not there. If i were to do it again I would have gone for a C-class as a second vehicle and not a B8

Why is that?

What's wrong with your B8?

Better get your facts straight. BMW has worse reliability than Audi:

I'm on my second one, and they both have been great. The A4 I currently have has a turbo upgrade with all supporting mods. Over 50k miles with all the engine mods and 100k miles total. This car has been absolutely problem free!

I think it's funny when people will tell you a certain car manufacturer is unreliable with nothing to base it off and no personal experience. Audis are no more unreliable than BMW or Benz. If you want something reliable, buy Japanese.

That chart also places Toyota third..

It's been 10 years since I owned an Audi A4, and two BMWs. I feel that quality is better with BMW. If I owned a 335i with some of the issues with it, I'd feel differently, but with a NA BMW it's as good as it gets.

In that case, silly me for buying the lame duck of the lot. I am not really interested in the stats but going through my experiences with the cars and how they've treated me. I have a 2010 B8 (2nd model year) and a 2006 E90 (first model year) in house and by far the BMW has been bulletproof. So I have basis for my opinion. Your mileage may vary, however.

Audi and vw have really improved in reliability, the a3 a4 and most vw cars and tiguan are consumer report recommended.

even if you just get the medium premium plus a4 you still get that beautiful interior and led head & taillights.

this is a good review for the a4

For a secondary car/DD I think it's a great thing. It's what sets it apart IMO. BTW that is a funny and entertaining review
