Audi S4 Avant 40-260km/h
This shows just how quick an Audi S4 Avant can accelerate from 120km/h to 255km/h. Mighty impressive, and doublely so when compared to a stock 335i. Though I have to say that I do question whether this particular car is stock based on how quick it's time is compared to an M3, but in it's defence the time it takes to cover the first 200km/h (adding 3s for the first 40km/h) is consistent with what a stock S4 would do this in.
Total time taken 26 seconds Total time taken 39 seconds. Take 26 seconds to reach 240km/h from a start of 40km/h, so was very slow after this point. [u2b]8_RPitIRkDo&feature=related[/u2b] Total time to taken 27 seconds. |

Too bad this opinion is widespread in this country. Everyone has high performance wagons in Europe.

P.S. On rewatching this video against some others I have definitely came to the conclusion that this S4 Avant is tuned. Probably an MTM chip. |

ya...its hard for me to comprehend as station wagons are prominently soccer mom cars...so to see high performance wagons is a bit weird....but to each its own...different strokes for different folks as they say....

That's not stock. Stock S4 with the supercharged 6 is ever so slightly faster than a stock 335.

While I agree the difference isn't that dramatic up to a point against a 335i, when it gets into triple figures then the difference becomes more noticeable. Like you I had an S5 and comparing the 3.0SC to the 4.2L I noticed it to be more responsive, especially at higher speeds, whether this is an under-rated engine on the S4 or improvements made with the latest quattro system I can't tell but I do think that overall the gap continues to grow against the 335i as the speed increases, similar is true comparing an S4 to an S5. |
