Hotel in Rome?
Can anyone recommend a hotel in Rome that is central to all the attractions?

We stayed here the last time we were in Rome:
http://www.lancelothotel.com/ It's very central to the ancient parts of Rome, like Colosseum, Roman Forum, etc. The only issue I had with it was that the nearest metro was a long walk, so getting to other places was a hassle. We've also stayed here before, but it's not as close to any attractions. I thought I'd recommend it anyway because it was a great deal and convenient, as we were only there for a few days: http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwest...ertyCode=98058 All the major attractions are about a mile away, but we chose it because (even though Rome is definitely a tourist town) the area wasn't as touristy and it was very close to the Termini station and a metro station, if that's how you're planning to get around. I've never stayed here before, but I've heard good things about it. You can't beat the location either, though it's kind of pricey. http://www.hotelnazionale.it/ |
