Black cars are almost 50 per cent more likely than vehicles of other colours to be involved in crashes, research has found.

A study over 20 years has concluded that black cars are 47 per cent more likely to be involved in road accidents.

Black cars are the most dangerous to be in while white, gold, and yellow are deemed to be the safest, the research found.

False, Buick. I would have to argue that 98% of all Buick drivers are about 98 years old. Braking at random times, no blinker, stopping at green lights, taking turns at 3mph. ALWAYS a Buick. I would recommend testing this hypothesis on your own, just like 90% of all white Jetta owners are hot younger girls (who probably also can fall under the shitty driver category.)

Sorry if someone already made this observation as I have not read through the thread

Has anyone noticed that quality of driving is inversely proportional to the amount of traffic - the extreme being when you are alone on the road and the driving is excellent?

And I would have to argue that those numbers you completely pulled out of your ass.

I understand taking jabs at how other brands have been stereotyped, but realize when asking this same question on a non BMW forum you will probably get a bunch of BMW drivers for answers. For all the time I've spent on the road, I've not been able to conclusively and objectively decide that I should avoid X car because their driver worse than others. Personal prejudices aside, unless anyone has access to properly conducted research (reading the above article does not lead me to believe that the statistics cited weren't cherry picked from some raw data and misinterpreted for the article's sake), no one in this thread can say that they know drivers of certain vehicles to be less skilled than average.

I would have to say that in Houston, there are the following types of bad drivers:

1. Women in huge SUVs. They don't know, and don't care to know, how to control their enormous land barges.

2. Illegal immigrants in late '90s pickups/Ford SUVs/hoopties. They don't know the traffic laws.

3. People with a dead soul who drive 60 in the fast lane and don't notice anything going on around them. Could be any car.

It was just a joke my friend. It obvious to anyone with any sort of reasoning that a particular car cannot infer the skill of the driver, however, in good fun we are all just throwing out stereotypes and most likely venting because of past experiences with said certain makes and models.

BMW

They're either driven by young girls who can't drive, old women who can't drive, old men who can't drive, or boy racers who think they can drive.
