Have you seen this stolen E30 project?
From Jalopnik:
http://jalopnik.com/5679598/have-you...en-bmw-project Let's do what we can to help this fellow BMW fan out. I hate seeing stuff like this happen. Edit: The car was located in the Chicagoland area, so Chicago posters keep a look out! Thanks everyone

I saw this today on Jalopnk. As fellow BMW owners and car enthusiasts in general, we need to help Dave get his project and his garage back. This kind of shit pisses me off too, but hopefully with the power of the internet we can help him out.

Saw this earlier today as well. This kind of thing really gets under my skin. Hope those guys get kicked square in the balls with some karma and Dave gets his stuff back.

I don't get this. Why didn't the guy buy insurance? It's pretty cheap to buy just comprehensive auto coverage (covers theft, fire, everything non-collision related) while he's building the car. He should have also bought some renters insurance for the tools and non-car stuff. Comprehensive coverage alone for my 2011 335is is only $131/yr.

Renters insurance won't cover the car. I guarantee it. Most renters and homeowners type policies have specific auto exclusions because they're not intended to cover autos.
Regardless of whether the car is modded or not, paying for comprehensive coverage at maybe $100-$150/yr would've have been really helpful. |

The people that did this deserve to die. So sad for the owner of this E30, all the effort and time spent. F*** E-bay. I think it is there that the parts might mostly be sold rather than on BMW forums.
