job got bad

does anyone around the woodlands area in tx or near conroe have a job offer for me. my recent job as a server has not been as good as it used to be. The business has started dying and im not really earning enough income for my school and for my car not combined. im just a college student with a high school diploma, i almost have my associates degree but unfortunately it seems i might have to skip a semester due to financial problems. so im just putting myself out there thanks.

If you are serious about school get a student loan, even a 3rd party loan through sally mae or something.

give up the car before you give up school...just a thought, take it for what it is.

If the car is becoming too expensive or a limiting factor I'd consider something cheaper. No reason to string yourself along for a car

Can you get a job serving somewhere else?

Holiday season's coming up... perhaps you can get a "holiday push" job somewhere in the mean time.

You said it yourself that you might have to miss a semester so I say you should find a solution real soon or sell the car. I'd prob sell the car if I was you. Education is more important. You can get the car back when you're more stable.

I know here at LSU you can take internships thru the university so they can keep you enrolled. Instead of paying to go to school they will set you up with a job in your field while you take a semester off and work and save some money. So its not completely taking a semester off. Look and see if your school does something like that, go speak with a counselor, believe it or not some them actually want to help you.

In most instances for the internship to count towards college credit/graduation you still have to pay for 12 college credits for them to count.

I didn't say it would count towards college credit, they just keep you enrolled. Rather dropping out and having to deal with being at the bottom of the list for scheduling and what not.

c'mon man, I served for like 4 years. Not sure what kinda income you actually need, but never believe what a manager tells you....they don't have the slightest clue what servers are walking with
