Woman runs red light, slams into cop car, but that's not the best part....

A Chicago police sergeant and two others were injured when woman ran a red light and hit a police squad car that in turn smashed into another car on the South Side.

The woman was driving a 2006 Audi sedan south on Stony Island Avenue near 83rd Street at about 9:42 p.m. Tuesday when she failed to slow down and stop at a red light, said Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

The woman slammed into a Chicago police squad car that was turning west on 83rd Street, he said. The impact caused the squad car, driven by a police sergeant, to crash into a 1992 Mercedes Benz, Mirabelli said.

The woman, 32, was taken in good condition to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center. The sergeant was treated at Advocate Trinity Hospital and released. The driver of the Mercedes was taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition.

The woman was cited for driving too fast for conditions and driving with no insurance, according to preliminary reports. The driver of the Mercedes was cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license, Mirabelli said.
Minding your own business, bitch runs a red light and hits a cop car, the cop car then pinballs into you.... And you've got no license.... Ain't that a bitch.

Not saying I have any sympathy for the fucker who was driving with a suspended or revoked license, but this is just a situation that makes me laugh out loud, picturing all that going down and the look that must have been on the Merc driver's face once it all took place.... Classic.

How is it even possible to drive without insurance now days?

I cancelled my Progressive policy on Dec 23, 2008 and went out of town for 1 week, planning to get a new policy with another company as soon as i get back.
Came back and there was a letter from DMV waiting, which stated that my car registration is now suspended due to the lack of the insurance. Insurance companies use DMV as their best enforcer right now, so I don't understand how its even possible to drive without insurance and not have your registration suspended, which will cause a whole lot of other problems when you get pulled over.

I know in CA that was the case when I lived out there, but I'm not sure IL has anything in place like that yet.

That doesn't mean you still can't drive illegally!

Is it just me, or are all the good stories like this coming out of the south side?

The south side is blowing up these days. Literally.

That's what happens when you create cesspools like Cabrini Green and the Robert Taylor homes, foster that sort of lifestyle and cater to it, and then tear them all down and send them packing to the south and far west sides....

They should have brought the National Guard in (fuck that actually, just bring in the Marines) and treat it as a war zone. Bitch ass gangstas wanna walk around with a gun, they should be engaged, shot on sight, and then move on to the next one. Same rules as they've got in war zones elsewhere.

I tell you police have some sort of driving on suspended license radar or something.

I been driving for so many years and without except of being stop for speeding I never been stop otherwise. But these people with no license seem to get caught for stupid random stuff like this. All I can say it must be karma

Their licenses were suspended for a reason..same reason prolly gets them pulled over, bad driving, bad car, or no tags...

That sucks though for the Merc driver...lol prolly driving all safe to avoid the coppers then wham!
