Damn it, E39!!

Well my 2001 525i just crapped on my face today.

On the way back with my girlfriend about 2 streets away at a Target, I hear this loud-ass BANG BANG BANG coming from the engine. It sounded pretty low, like a knocking cylinder head or something from the cabin. People were looking at me, so I imagine it was pretty loud. I pull over to look at the engine bay. The radiator fan is slapping everything around it because it seems loose or something. Long story short, I get home in about 5 minutes with smoke rising out of the engine bay due to overheating with no power steering (alternator unpowered) and some orange fluid going everywhere (maybe power steering fluid?). Looks like the fan took out the belts with it on its rampage.

I will NEVER buy another BMW product because it's garbage and requires dumb repairs for no reason. It's extremely unreliable and is a piece of crap. So NO MORE BMW products for me or my family. Except for the 335i I bought last year. Oh, and the next 12 BMWs I'm getting after that car dies.... BUT THEN ILL NEVER BUY CRAP FROMM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!

So it sounds like you will still buy this crap? They are annoying at times but so worth it...

lol.. well it IS a 10 year old car. In order to avoid this problem I just completed an engine rebuild. Cost me $3K but now I'm good for another 200K.

Correction---it IS a 10 year old German car. =D 18 year old Toyota in my family still no problems, ever.
