The reason why RB with Max is so dominant, is not one reason (like 'the car'). It's the whole chain of decisions and events. It's the driver, the car, the setup of the car (the driver plays a big role here), the strategy, the pit crew, etc etc. And RB with Max has improved all these things to perfection. In none of these aspects mistakes are made, and if a mistake is made, it's a very very minor one. That is why they're winning so much. Max makes less mistakes than the rest of the drivers. The RB pitcrew is just better than the rest of the pit crews, more consistent. Max always seems to have that extra set of new tyres that is needed at that very moment etc etc. And if something happens unexpectedly like a SC, they always seem to handle that perfectly. The whole packeage is just a very well oiled machine. Driver included.

Now, flip that, and Ham who in 2022 and 2023 had the 2nd or 3rd fastest car and could barely sniff a podium - none on pure pace but more the misfortune of others. Below average if you ask me, but then again, any average driver can and did win in that MB with it's astronomical hp advantage and secret tire tests that gave it massive data advantages. Max's first race with RB he won and Nikki Lauda, who worked for MB said Max was the talent of the century. How come he never said anything superlative like that about Ham? Maybe because he knew without an the extra 80-100 hp he'd not have won a thing? More than probable. Ham has had a competitive car for every year of his career - this is year 18 I believe. Yet only 7 WDCs...and lost to Ros who I wouldn't even rate as average. Max has had a competitive car for 3 years, and set consecutively the 3 best seasons ever seen in F1 while winning the WDC. Current day F1, since 2022, has never been closer or more competitive across the entire field. There are budget caps, where teams cant just make A spec, B spec, C spec cars with specialized parts for each race, and actually have a restriction for top teams. Max has won in a manner a more dominant MB never could. 10 wins in a row in the most competitive arena of F1 is nothing short of astonishing especially if you consider the SCs, red flags, and weather he overcame to do that. Ham has never won more than 10 or 11 out of 20 or 21 race season, yet Max has won 19/22 which takes a driver with tremendous consistency. Also, Max was quicker to 50 wins than Ham, and considering his first 19 races were in a back marker team (again not everyone goes to a WDC winner right away), shows just how good he is. Only Sch was faster to 50 wins than Max. Where was Ham in 2009-2013 with the second fastest car on the grid? Nowhere...because without the hp, he is simply an average driver at best. When you actually need to race for the win, he isn't even in the conversation. All we hear now are excuses while Rus, who really isnt very good, is handling the car just fine. An angry Carlo is inadvertently becoming the crunched cog in the Ferrari machine. Not even Fred can sort that however hard he tries as what has Carlo to look forward to. Spaniards don't like being shafted and he'll do his talking on the track.

Sai was never as good as the recency bias was trending him to. He's gotten two lucky win in the past 2 seasons but ultimately we know Lec will outperform him as he did this past weekend. Sai also making some pretty big mistakes - which I believe if you cause a crash in quali that results in a red flag, you should be out without the ability to go back on track.

I dont know, to crash and damage your car and cause a red flag where you have the ability to fix it without any rush on time (assuming quali time continued) just seems wrong to me.

From the time of red flag starts in Q the clock should stop maybe and when the stricken car is cleared then the clock starts again.

Glad F1 isn’t as ridiculous as NASCAR. For those unfamiliar, lapped cars can get a lap back after yellow flags. They don’t have to earn it. Just be the first car a lap down.

Often there's more than the car to clear with debris on the track and/or barriers to fix. The barriers can be the real delay depending on what they're made of and how extensive the damage is. I think it's perfectly acceptable for a driver to get the chance to rejoin if he can get his car back to the pits under its own power and without it dropping parts all over the place. It's probably pretty rare though for that type of accident to happen under a red flag as opposed to just a safety car. The red flag today was probably questionable as were some other odd decisions by the race officials.
