That's your right however you have no way to prove anything you are stating. Plus, look at how much money and time Kaep has given to charities and causes and I'm sure he gives this country a lot more money (in taxes) than you do so I think he contributes way more to society than me or you. But it's your right to continue to voice your opinion but don't confuse facts with opinions because you will get called on it more often than not.

I've already provided TWO articles to support what I stated and ONE of them is from Forbes which isnt exactly known to have a habit of going out on a limb and fabricating stuff

http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozan.../#579255e07dbd

http://hotair.com/archives/2016/09/1...them-protests/

Time will tell

Check back every month for the rest of the season and we'll see if it blows over or if fans actually dig in and boycott

Everyone I personally know has made the decision to boycott

He doesnt really have a choice

The season will go on with or without him "entertaining" anything......its only a matter of what the statistics show every month until the season ends

Well, all my friends dont give a shit.

Our decisions are base on our believes and not some online stats, etc

We care more on the issues of what ppl protest for (right or wrong) than the financial impact on a multi-billion dollar industry

You're right, both of those articles support your theory. However, the Forbes article does state that it may only be a possible cause among other factors. It doesn't say it definitely is the reason why viewership was down. And you're right about only time will tell. I guess we'll see how it goes. But I still think what he and others have done standing up for their beliefs is honorable and in the end will hurt them individually more than the NFL. Just look at how much money Brandon Marshall lost which IMO makes it even more impressive that he did what he did. Would you stand up for your beliefs if it cost you millions and potentially your job?

No they won't. But if people want to protest the NFL that's their right. At least the NFL isn't persecuting their employees for standing up for their beliefs (or kneeling as in this case). Are you kidding me on this? Go read why Andrew Jones won't protest in baseball. It's because he'll get benched or placed in the dugout. I'm sure you would agree that MLB keeps their minorities in line which I bet makes you happy. Go give your money to MLB, they do it the way you want it to be done. What a load of crap.
The NFL did persecute people for standing up for their beliefs - a few players were fined for wearing 9/11 commemorative shoes during opening weekend. What about their beliefs to remember those killed, first responders and the military? NFL says fuck that.

How about the Cowboy's request to wear a patch (either on the helmet or uniform) to remember the Dallas cops killed a few months ago? NFL said fuck you to that as well.

I have been seriously turned off this year by all this SWJ, politically correct, anti-American/police/military bullshit.

Fuck the NFL, enough said.

Kaep didnt give any money or time to the cause before he sat the 1st time. It was only after he got criticism for not doing so, that he decided to start donating.

dont even know what you are trying to say here...

My point was, he never donated or contributed in any way to the cause until after there was backlash over him sitting, so using that as an argument as to why he is a better person than someone else would be incorrect.

so I'm saying, if he doesn't do anything he doesn't care. If he does something after the fact he doesn't care either. Sometimes people half ass things before they actually give it there all.

you could have brought out the positive of him donating but no you brought out the negative aspect. lol

I think his point is you cannot use it to justify the actions when it was done after the fact. It is great that he did it, but it was clearly not part of an overall plan, but was reactionary.

Carry on. (I think this thread has gotten to the point it can be moved to the pissing contest thread though.)

They do in most respects act with vigilance to protect their brand. This issue is a bit more complex for them to deal with though.

However, I have feeling that the NFL is going to quench this sooner than later. It's beginning to damage their brand and brands are difficult to build and even more difficult to maintain.

They probably thought it would just blow over and it would be safer for them to just let it run it's course which they assumed would be short. But if it persists much longer, i believe they will be forced to act. When companies who endorse players begin to terminate endorsements on the grounds that their own brand supports America and it's unity first, the NFL will soon have to react. The companies who support and advertise during NFL games are soon going to realize that this political division is also damaging the brand they've worked hard to build, resulting in pulled advertising.

Never mind the fan viewership. Fans are fickle, but when companies who are responsible for Billions of dollars in revenue each year start making statements with their check book. The NFL will be forced to react.

I believe if the NFL was forced to make a stand and change player conduct requirements. Standing in unison for the NA will be enforced. But who knows. One thing is for sure, either way you look at it, the NFL brand is losing its luster.
