I have a house filed with Pioneer Elites that i refuse to get rid of. I think they are still selling on ebay for more then it cost me when i bought them!

Anyway my point is the 80" is an AWSOME tv. I needed and 80" to fill the gap. And at the time last year Sharp made the only one. I have never been a fan of Sharp products. Well I love the TV. It not an Elite but damn close and i don't have any lag. We use the 3d a lot as well, it is impressive.

Thanks for the comment on the house. We were very lucky to find it. =)

i wished the 80" would have gotten as good reviews as the Samsung, because i really wanted all 80" in my living room....

but after reading the "laggy" and "not so great picture quality" comments, i chose the 75" Samsung...

all I had to go off of was the reviews on 4 or 5 different forums/websites.

I would have LOVED to have seen both TV's side by side.

either way, I think both of us are super happy...

and like I said, HOPEFULLY in the next 2 or 3 years, Sharp and Samsung can go toe to toe and drop some really affordable 90-100" TV's

If the samsung 75" was out at the time i might have purchased it just because i like the the brand, but now that i have owned the Sharp i can recommend it =) its good.

Yes 90" will be nice but i need to cut out some wall to expand my TV nook.

Nice.

I am running 4 Cerwin Vega 15 inch speakers including 2 Cerwin Vega DJ speakers and a Bose center channel with a 55 inch Sony Bravia. My speakers stand about 6 feet high and its awesome for gaming and movies.

I had the Sharp 65 inch TV back in the day but noticed the larger TVs weren't as clear IMO with some games and movies and out it went.

I had 1000 blu ray moves and have sold every one of them since everything is going digital and online in the next couple of years and the OLED tvs are coming out as well so fixed flat screen tvs will be a thing of the past.
