Master Deep, here are a few snaps of the Invicta. They did not come out very well but gives you a better idea

Looks good. I like how the Invicta ticks in half-second increments. Is that something based on the movement, or are all automatics like that?

Simple & Elegant

I like watches that are comfortable to wear, simple, and elegant. Of course, that means different things to different people.

I wear an Omega Constellation (~1988) and an Oris BC3, both in stainless steel. For everyday, I wear either one of these or a Cabela's field watch--I have a weakness for field and pilot watches. I am considering a Fortis Flieger, as well. I never much liked Rolexes, because I find them uncomfortable to wear and a bit glitzy. No offense to those who like them. Different strokes. When I'm on my bicycle, any old Timex Ironman will do. I just wish I were an Ironman!

I have that same Invicta and really like it. The second hand now comes with the Invicta logo on the back which is a nice detail. The watch itself is nice and solid, feels well made. I really like the seiko's style too. Have not seen it in person though. I'm considering getting one. Let us know how you like it if you get it.
Alright I'm ordering the Seiko tomorrow. I can't really find any reviews on this model (SNZ301), but based off similar watch reviews, it seems to be good. Someone said in a review it doesn't have a manual wind but they are active so it doesn't pertain to them. I might not wear it all the time and I don't want to get a cheap winder cause the motor will prolly burn out.

My son gave me a $2 digital watch for X-mas today! He is 9 years old and knows I've been looking at watches lately. He bought it at the school X-mas sale. He told me he thinks it's water resistant. He also got me a watch box. I'll be wearing the new digital to work this week

damn, must be a good replica. Just wondering, when someone asks what kind of watch you have on, how do you answer? If i received a nice compliment on it Id have a hard time saying its a fake.

I had been set on the Omega Seamaster for awhile, I just couldnt decide which one i wanted. Well, I bit the bullet and went with the blue James Bond version, official chronometer of course. I feel in love with it as soon as I layed eyes on it in person. Im very happy with it so far and it only runs about 1 second fast.

Another watch that i think is beautiful is this Chopard..

I'm picking from these 2:

Of the two pictured, only the Seiko does not, I believe, have the capacity to be manually wound (assuming that's a Seiko 7S26 movement under the hood). The Invicta with it's Myota movement, can be hand wound.

Many people buy what's called a "watch winder" which basically rotates the watch while it isn't being worn, so that it does not wind down.

Not all self-winding watches can be hand wound.

Tom - The Yacht-Master is superb! It's the watch I wear which receives the most compliments.
