If you wear your watch daily as pointed out earlier, you won't need a winder.

lazy, i dont have a winder for mine either. think i have 6 or 7 and just set them. i pull the crown on my quartz watches as well since each gets worn once a month, just to save battery so have to set those each time also.

Also, I actually use the three time zone function of the GMT, I would probably never use any of the functionality of the sub.
Interesting views, I agree too. GMT with Pepsi Dial here, red third hand. It is different and the polished links have never been a problem getting scratched, despite 19 and a half years of wearing it every day! Lovely watch.

Hey Guys,

So I ended up buying the GMT Master II and I'm extremely happy.

I got a chance to see both watches today. I really liked the Submariner but ultimately the polished links, Timezone functions and the fact that the GMT is not as common as the Sub made me go with the GMT.

I don't plan to wear this watch as a daily and will actually be traveling a lot more this upcoming year for business so I felt I nailed it with this watch lol.

Congrats on the GMT. Don't let the swirls on the bracelet upset you (trust me, they are coming). They can all be polished to brand new condition.

Regarding being too common - I picked the Hulk because of it, since it's a rare version of Sub. Plus no polished links

I only have one Rolex but to me, it's the Rolex I wanted since I first saw the 6239 when I was a kid.

I'm on the hunt for a mint red Sub from my birth year

very nice pieces guys

i, too, was deciding between the GMTIIc and SubC. Ultimately, I went with the Sub due to no PCL's and the glidelock bracelet, which imo, is worth it alone.

i want a Daytona but i can't justify having two chrono's since I already have the Speedmaster. maybe something to get later down the line

my next rolex will probably be either a GMT or DJ.. i'm leaning towards vintage GMT

Not sure what your birth year is, but there are quite a few red Subs for sale:

Thanks!

My birth year is 1968 so from what I gather, it would be a meters first, 2.2M series.

someone over at TRF put a super jubilee bracelet on a GMT and it didn't look all that bad. not most people's cup of tea, but nevertheless, still looked good

PCLs are too flashy for me... that and they are scratch magnets... plus, i could never give up the glidelock clasp on the ceramic subs

That's a cool Milgauss. I really like the green-face one.
