Oh don't worry. It only affects certain people. I never though that trying to write a law or a code for the US would be so hard. Trying to make sure it covers us and the recent tech and our abilities and reasons for going after these guys and balancing that aganist spying and use of our resources for other uses. It's a sticky issue and FISA itself is outdated since it was passed in the 1970's and technology has advanced way beyond the usefullness of FISA. A new law is needed to balance Intelligence gathering vs personal privacy. We don't just search anyone ya know. Thanks for the support. Sometimes its hard thinking that some people just don't appericate what all of our soldiers are doing over here and the local sacrifices, acts of valor and bravery which are displayed everyday. On a side note being shot is no joke (Twice for that matter). One was a clean AP round through my hand...clean shot since it was meant to pierce armor not soft flesh. The other time was an assassination attempt against me with a soviet sniper rifle (analysts of bullet said Dragnov SVD but could be a different weapon) The only thing that saved me there was that I was walking and carrying a notebook in my hand with about 200 pages on ironically Insurgent tactics. One shot...throgh the notebook right into my SAPI plate...through the plate and lodged into my rib cage. Luckly it didn't have enough force to pass through my body. But I'm just doing my job...There are people out there making the ultimate sacrifice with lives. |

Haha, yeah, I get that a lot! People who first meet me or just don't know me that well always get surprised when they see that I'm not just the girl who likes to party and have a good time. I mean, I LOVE to have a good time all the time, but I know where my priorities are. Academics comes first and fun comes after. The only reason my parents let me go out, shop, and have fun is because I put in time to do well in school. It's a give take situation. My AP Government teacher recently graded my 1st semester final adn said to one of my friends, "Since when did Kathryn have a brain?" Haha.. I guess that's kind of a good thing. It's better for people to assume you're dumb when you're actually smart -- than for people to assume you're smart when you're actually dumb. ;D |
