Have been into Pinot Noir and Old Vine Zin lately

Favorites:
Old Vine Zin: Hartford 2014
Pinot Noir: Decoy Pinot Noir and even their Cab's are good
Cabernet Sauvignon: Beringer 2005

Cheap go to wine anything Gnarly Head has been palatable

Right he's still trying to justify himself. We want to talk about different wines people like but you're still going on and on bragging on what you have and own. At least "be a man" and have a glass of wine while doing it

For cheap wine the Whistling Owl chard at Aldi costs $2.89 but tastes like it cost $7.99. But it's only decent the day you open it.
Costco (Kirkland) Chard at $6.99 is a great deal.

Last Saturday night, we had our last bottle of 2008 Caymus Special Selection with some great steaks at III Forks. It was outstanding - I really like Caymus. I had been handing onto that one for a while. It's gone now.

Anyways, French wines are great, but I recently discovered Georgian wines. A good red Saperavi or Kinzmarauli can take on any Bordeaux or Côtes du Rhône, if you ask me.

I guess I'll add to this thread:

1. If it's not red, it's not wine; or 2. Wine. If it's red, drink it. If it's not, do it.

That said:

Cab: Dunn Vineyards, the standard or the Howell Mountain (Randy Dunn was the first oenologist for Caymus)
Merlot: Paloma
Red Blend: Pahlmeyer

I recently had a 2008 Selby Petite Sirah that I enjoyed very much. I'm partial to Petite Sirah's and especially like the bottling from Ridge's Lytton Estate.
