My ex husband was like that. I remember him calling me one day and asking how much further he could drive (my car) when the range said 0 miles to empty. It's because of him that I always have gas and am always on time. I never ran out of gas or missed a flight until he came along.

Still seems like a lot.

I've never run out of gas, and I've driven vehicles that got 9 mpg. My sister on the other hand is 27, and from 16 has run out of gas 4 times, got 5 flat tires, has been towed 4 times, and broke a wheel.

I've only nearly run out one time and that was testing how many miles my Scirocco could actually go. I was climbing an overpass when it sputtered so I flipped a U-turn in the middle of the overpass and coasted to the station.

And on the flight situation I've only missed one flight in my life and it was when we were going to Hawaii and my now ex-wife didn't like the way her hair was falling. You all probably remember it because it was the day NASA put their first satellite in orbit without a rocket. They just put it on top of my head. I can't even begin to describe how mad I was.
