Had three different scotches last night (my neighbour came over and brought a bottle as well)
Had the: - Ardbeg An Oa (dry nose, but pretty good, grows on you - different, but still has that recognizable Ardbeg character) - Deanston Virgin Oak 2008 aged in Bordeaux casks (very different, but good with a splash of water. Basically 120 proof so needs a little water IMO) - Glenfiddich Fire & Cane which is one of their experimental ones. I did not taste any smoke at all, mostly sweet, but not overly so. Also good. I had PVR'd the junior hockey quarterfinals last night with Canada vs Finland to watch a very disappointing performance by the Canadians, who are now out. But the scotch was good at least. |

I have a feeling it’ll be like Eagle Rare, pour a glass, take a couple drinks, pour it down the drain and never touch again. Didn’t like ER one bit. |

Finally!! Although the liquor store guy said he felt this was "just ok" but was over-hyped because it's sponsored by some UFC dude. We'll see.

Lol. Seriously! I’m a fairly seasoned bourbon drinker and consider myself open minded to try new spills but this Mcgregor $hit was absolute crap in a bottle. Tasted like rubbing alcohol - FYI I love Connor and I was born in Dublin, Ireland so I was hoping he hit a homerun with this but honestly it was disgusting. Don’t waste you money - seriously!

Each to his own. I like it. If you don't, don't buy another bottle. For $25, I'll be grabbing more. I don't consider buying anything I like a waste of money.

I’m glad there are people that don’t like it, more for us that do. Enjoy the ones you like. Cheers |

I just hit 60 last week and I'm in better shape now than I have been in decades thanks to cycling. I should have been doing this all along. I could and probably should be more careful with my diet, but at this point I can eat whatever I want and not gain weight as long as I keep up the cycling. I just went two weeks almost dry. I had a beer one night out at a restaurant and a glass of wine on another night. This bottle of Proper Twelve I just bought is the first hard drink I've had this year.
