Haha, that's so American. From where I come from gardeners are no option. I can't see myself hiring someone to do the shit I actually enjoy doing.

Before you lose your temper off of online BMW Off Topic forum, I have a good news for you. I won't go as far as Litos use to do. Would that lower your systolic and diastolic pressure by about 15mm Hg?

Sorry, missed this one.

I wasn't a sales type, but I was fairly desperate to get a job to pay for school. So, I picked auto sales job during my school year. This was transition of people not knowing the invoice price to KBB starting get introduced online.
Auto sales industry change a lot since 15yrs ago, but here are my suggestion.

1. Go to a franchise dealership. Do not work at buy here pay here type of places. Also look at the ratings. There are still some franchise dealerships practicing 70s sales tactics to customers.

2. I would go to a decent brand franchinsed dealership, instead of high traffic dealership such as Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Ford, GM, etc. Smaller dealership would have time to train you not just on sales, but other stuff.

3. Franchise dealership has district reps who comes in and train the product as well. Good way to learn about cars most people don't know about.

4. Go to a dealership which has less sales staff relative to car sales. Large heavy traffic dealership won't have time to train people. Acura Lexus Infinity type of dealership are ideal for startup.

5. State Dept of Reg Agency controls and enforces the law. Every state has a different law/standard/procedure. Most of states' auto sales exams are most likely far easier than life/fire&casualty or real estate. It is just legal stuff that you gotta mainly study.

6. After summer break is over, if you prove yourself, dealership might offer you a part time position. It is really hard to find a part time position at a dealership (due to heavy number of full time applicants), but if you can nimble around well, you can just set appt during weekdays after school, and sell on weekend. Again, this is possible at low to mid traffic stores.

i know what you mean man, oddly you and your wife is VERY similar to my parents.
my mom was the daughter of a member of turkish parliement, then became a doctor and now works in the industrial area along my dad to help him out instead of sitting at home after retiring...
and since we do manufacturing, the guys she deals with are not qualified guys, i think one even did some jail time, to put things in perspective.

but enough of reality checks lets go back to chick problems caused by "nice" men with "tailored jackets" and "slim ties", the ones that are too lazy to type

I could probably afford a gardener, but then what the heck would I putter around doing on weekends? Heck, I do my own lawns AND a lot of the baseball field maintenance because I like to see my accomplishments and be out in the open air/sun.

this and the ordering food things are 2 things i never quite got about the states...
here in my neighborhood if you pay a monthly fee thats like $50 you get full gardening services; and you can order food that comes to your house, nothing you have to go and pick it up yourself.

why is that? like, in a place like america wouldnt getting burgers delivered to houses be the best investment ever?
burger king, maccas, kfc none of them in the states send food to homes as far as i know, only some pizza places do for a reason.

Sad Sad Sad

It's a sad sad world we live in when people brag about their girlfriends/wives doing yard work or a boyfriend/husband opening doors or being well-mannered.

We live in an age of equality, it shouldn't be something out of the norm for either sex to perform a generic act of being a "grown up".

I am not directing this at anybody, or mean any disrespect by it. It's just pathetic to see people that are excited their significant other does something that a large majority of adults do on a regular basis... (and not pathetic to the person excited, more so for the fact that society has deemed it "out of the norm").

My advice to you. Before you start raising your systolic and diastolic pressure with your own creative imagination, I would first be logical if it was meant to brag or tell people it is 50/50 husband wife work.
To suppress your imagination, work was shared like how normal husband and wife suppose to have.

I figured you'd read this incorrectly and take a defensive stance, I tried my best to word it in a way that you wouldn't, while still getting my point across.

I actually love to see any form of split, as long as it's fair.

My turn to dump some advice on you, maybe counter with a question to verify that's how I mean it, instead of jumping in blindly looking like an idiot. I meant absolutely no disrespect to you and wasn't even chastising you for "bragging". Actually if you read carefully you can see I was in an inadvertent form, complimenting you on having a great working relationship, that many others should strive to reach.

The cup must always be empty in your world, huh? If you re-read my comment you can probably see that your reply could have been the exact opposite saying something like "Yeah I totally agree! It shouldn't be out of the norm that I feel like my wife is doing something amazing by mowing the lawn, we work hard to keep our relationship healthy!" Rather than feel like you're being attacked by some cyber insult.

Your 2nd post (quote below) is what you initially wanted right? You set it up, and you got it.

Thanks for the therapy doc. How much rep point do I owe you?

BTW, how is the water there?

I was more ranting, while simultaneously giving you the thumbs up for a great relationship.

Tap water here sucks, but surfing and taking the boat out in the marina sure makes up for crappy tap water.
