Insider has contradicted MT. He is said around $50k-$60k, just north of 3,000lbs, 8 speed auto & DCT, BMW I6, and looking at mid 300hp. His guess would be +/-380hp, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Don't shoot the messenger
From what I understand the engineering team didn't have any interest when the manual question was asked, but they did say they will keep it in mind. No confirmation, but they hint at a 2+2 "due to past layout". |

irrespective, i dont like the new dimensions. OG supra is big, and this is more z4 size.

Surprising, the Mk4 was 11 inches longer than the E89, and an inch wider and roughly 200 pounds heavier. Pretty sure the new car will be larger than the E89, so perhaps middle ground between those two.

If they can stuff backseats into the 86, I think it will doable here as well. And the press release did say "midsize sports", so it has to be larger than the 86 and outgoing Z4.

Agreed, and the rear seats in the 86 are actually reasonable. A dad at my kid's daycare has made them work for both rear and front facing seats.

Yup, most people are surprised to know the interior space of the MK4 and 86 are roughly the same. People over at the Toyota side have made the same points. Good for kids, occasional backseats passengers, more practical and etc. Personally I don't care either way.

I used to put the kids in the back of the Supra in their baby seats...until the cage went in. But those kids are now 17 and 20 so I no longer have any need for the jump seats |

I thought the roof-line looked odd. So I did a chop with the concept's roof. Made the roof-line taller/thicker. Lower the belt line and moved the rear wheel forward. Last edited by supra93; 10-04-2017 at 08:39 PM.. |

^If that's the final product, I hope lots of people like it and enjoy it, but for me I have zero interest in the car. Bad enough no manual, and the thing just looks like typical Toyota boredom for the past nearly 20 years. To think two of my favorite cars of all time are the MR2 Turbo and the Supra MKIV, and they've made NOTHING in 20 years that even interests me. Quite a bummer.
