My wife and I went to a garden centre yesterday and were met at the entrance and asked to put our masks on by a woman wearing a mask. We replied that we don't have one and were given a dirty look and let in just the same. As we walked around I watched this same woman pull her mask down and over her throat. She then proceeded to stock some shelves., she had a list of some sort on a piece of paper that she kept moving from her hand to her mouth as she was checking it I assume to make sure the right product went on the right shelf.

I later saw her at the check out, mask still over her throat and she was licker her fingers to give traction on the customer reciepts she was handing out.

The whole mask and glove thing is pretty funny given that people have no clue how to use them or wear them or what they are intended for. The fact is unless it is used correctly it's a false sense of security and may actually open folks up for more exposure.

It doesn’t really matter if someone gets themselves sick by being stupid. To me, the point of the mask is to mitigate the damage to others when a wearer coughs or sneezes around someone else. It really isn’t going to protect the wearer that much if someone else without a mask coughs or sneezes near them.

In your example, her stupidity of putting things in her mouth is incremental to her ignorance of how to use the mask. Sounds like she was just a moron.

Yes, it does help protect the wearer, but not nearly as much as it protects others. So really, people wearing masks are doing it to protect you, not themselves.

The people I see that are most ignorant and have the most false sense of security are the ones that are covered from fingertip to toetip. I don't think they grasp the idea of what gloves and coverings are essentially for, which is for temporary use. I can't stand it when I see people wearing gloves driving in their cars, transferring all the crap from their gloves directly to their vehicles. They have this idea that if their natural skin is covered, they are protected. The reality is when you wear the same pair of gloves and never replace them, which means that hands will not be washed, the germ spreading is going to be worse than if gloves were not worn and hands are washed frequently.

The whole thing is a bit weird. If you read the guidelines for proper use of masks or you understand how gloves and masks are meant to be used you know that nobody is washing the re-usable masks after every wearing, and nobody is taking them off correctly, same goes for the gloves. But we will be shamed and forced to comply when there is a likelyhood that the improper use could put people further at risk.

A young driver in B.C. crashed his new car into a river after attempting to drift it — and yes, of course it was a Mustang.

The incident happened in Crankbrook, B.C., and, it being the Wet Coast, it was obviously raining at the time. Couple that with a rear-wheel-drive sports car and you have a recipe for disaster.

It all started when a group of friends met up near a Tim Hortons by a local mall. According to people familiar with the incident, the young and inexperienced driver decided to attempt to drift the Ford Mustang to show off his prowess — or rather, the lack of.

A video posted to Facebook by a bystander shows the Mustang in the middle of the creek, still running, but obviously not going anywhere.

According to somebody who spoke to Carscoops, the 2019 Mustang GT had been purchased only three days earlier.

While a rainy day is the perfect opportunity to attempt a slide in a regular car, the Mustang GT isn’t exactly your run-of-the-mill econobox. The Mustang packs 460 horsepower under the hood courtesy of a 5.0-litre V8, and one misplaced toe on the accelerator could launch the vehicle out of control.

Luckily the only victims hurt were the young driver’s pride and his wallet. With the crash and the water damage, the vehicle is likely to be a write-off.

This brings me back to a few months ago, about an hour before closing this guy in his 60s crashed into 2 RR Wraiths and missed a third by inches from the look of the skid marks. He had a buddy with him in a convertible Mustang and decided to show off and peel out in front of the dealership but he obviously didn't see a small bump right right front of him and speared off onto the lot and smashed the first one dead center of the driver door, clipped the second's front bumper pretty good, just missed the third and ran over a handicap parking pole. I went over to look and went away laughing with my coworkers saying he was lucky they had all the "cheap cars" out front. We were all debating whether he was on the phone with his lawyer, insurance or wife
