There is a deaf dog at the pound near me. Anyone have a pet that is deaf?

Good news. Guy tomorrow looked at the pics and videos of her. He says he thinks he can fix her! He reminded me the first vet doesn’t specialize in equines and he does. She’s doing better on the pain medication and actually took a step on her own! He says her hoof should be able to be saved. No hoof no horse. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!! Can you imagine if I would have listened to the first vet? I would be burying her.

She's okay. We've been leaving her stall door open and the gate to the pasture open since she doesn't go very far. Yesterday she actually walked with her mom from the stable allllll the way down to our large pond at the complete opposite end of the property. I was amazed. She'll probably never be ridden or run again, but I'm fine with that. She's eating good, she's walking well on the pain medication, her mom is by her side every day/night. She's in good hands.

Our main concern is infection as she heals. He "packed" the hoof and put special shoes on her front feet to help take the pressure off. We've got to keep the hoof dry and as clean as we can now.

Jimmy Choo doesn't have shit on the price of Jacqueline's new shoes lol
