Wait Whut? I'm the OP and I don't want corrections--right the first time. If I were a moderator around here this ship would be shaped up. Whatever that means.

Ftfy. Was is past tense. Were is subjunctive. But ALMOST right the first time.

Assuming "whut" is intentional.

FTFY

"But" would typically be used as a conjunction and the use of the adverb "almost" would indicate a requirement to indicate the "who" in this instance (or perhaps "what", since I feel like jgoens skunk might be rubbing off on him).

Who was almost right? You were!

Well, you make a good point. I was attempting to mirror his construction with his "right the first time" offset after the dash. So, I played a little fast and loose with the rules. I am, however, duly chastened.

Is it safe to assume that all of you replaceable sons-a-bitches have quit your crying and watched the game as directed?

What was nice was being at the game this past Sunday. No media talking about political crap, all players standing in unison, good. Other than being hot at donkey balls.

If you wanna know how hot that is, ask ASBSECU E93

Bunch of pussies and some giant dicks. Not much different than the NFL really.

Edit: I meant "average-sized dicks." Please forgive the typo above.

Vote with your feet so to speak, I know I am not tuning it. My little protest, a lot of folks died for our flag of all walks of life. Choose another venue to protest. I didn't go through all the posts, someone probably said this already.

Part of the reason for doing it is to start a conversation. Based on this thread, and many, many others, it looks like it's working.

Those saying ratings are down, the protest caused ratings to go down clearly was never a football fan to begin with.

The NFL has been a shit show for the pass 5+ years. Yes, ratings did went down more cuz of the protest but it isnt the only problem.

Here are some reasons for the poor ratings:

More penalaties = more commercials = longer games. Penalty calls are so bad it just pisses ppl off. Games use to be 3 hrs long max and now games can be 4+ hours long.

Unbalanced punishments to players. Deflategate for example. There are drug users, wife/child beaters, murderers, etc and deflategate lasted almost 2 years...WTF!??

Alot of ppl cutting the cord (no cable tv). Most ppl that do stream stuff like sports.

This one might be bias cuz Im a Pats fan....who wants to watch a shitty team (AFC) or seeing the Pats beat their team for the playoffs almost every year (for 15 years)? Even without the Pats, alot of the teams are just real bad and dont even have a decent QB. After a few years you just give up watching.

Prime time football is no longer Prime time teams. Sunday/Monday night football is a joke

And the fantasy football, many will only watch scores on their phones, stream, or listen online. I can say that without fantasy football the product will degrade even more.

I stopped watching the NBA long ago and now stopped watching the NFL too. All of those factors (except Brady suspension that I am happy about) are contributing factors. Beginning of the end for me was the Jonathan Martin drama. Now I simply don't like players like Kaepernick or Newton. Combined with the factors you pointed out, not liking players in the league making headlines = no interest in watching. There are plenty of other ways to spend time and money.

the only game, is the one the NFL is playing on the general public

Yea but not every game is loaded on one side, if money was balanced between the two teams....game on

Or if the owner of the team decides that he cant give up a game for his own benefits....game on
