I would respectfully disagree - it does matter. It's an infringement on the 2nd.

Holy fuckballs, that's expensive for a 1-6x scope! Definitely looks nice, though.

Edit: to put it in perspective, that's roughly the same price I paid for my Sightron SIII 6-24x50mm Riflescope on my Savage 110 in .338 Lapua. Price on the Sightron has gone down since then, but when I bought it, was the sqme price as your Vortex Razor.

Its feel good legislation. I'm fine with that kind that really doesnt have an effect on most people as opposed to more stringent ones that will seriously impede law abiding owners. Unfortunately we have some of those type passed here in Washington this past election.

quick Amazon search showed me $1099, which is the only place I looked. I know optics can get nuts, but not usually that much for a 1-6x scope with red dot.

I know really good optics can easily be $5k+

The (gen II) Vortex Razor's standard street price is $1499. A good price is $1199 or $1099. I "tried" to buy this scope for $949 almost a year ago but the dealer couldn't deliver. I did buy this one for $899, but that's abnormally-low price. A great deal for arguably the reference standard LPVO.

Meh, I usually bring two rifles and maybe a pistol at most for a range day, so I can concentrate one one or two aspects of shooting. But everyone's range day is different.

We do a Central PA group shoot once/year, where people from all corner of the state comes. In Western PA, a large group of us get together 4 times per year. You see all makes, models, vintage, machine guns. Even some historic pieces.

This is from this past summer's central group shoot.

My table.

People setting up and down the line.

Friend shooting the Gatling gun.

Friend shooting the Sten.

Another one of our favorite get togethers is a machine gun shoot. Here's about 250K worth of machine guns, and a bunch of bowling pins that are about to die.

Various friends shooting various machine guns.

And a .50 cal, because why not?

Just got back from running some rounds through the Glock 20. Gawd I love that gun. So controllable in a heavy round

Side question - Why get the Scorpion and MPX?

It's a little like all of the cars you can pick in the world but you buy an Evo and a STI.

Scorpion owner here, not just someone trolling. I was comparing the MPX versus the Scorpion and ended up going Scorpion mostly for the cost.

I always end up hauling too much stuff to the range, mostly so other people can try out some of my more ‘unusual’ guns

I love my Scorpion, much more than the MPX.

The only reason that I bought the MPX is because the small dealer couldn't move it, and thus, I got a really, really good deal on it. Since most people don't mess with SBRs these days (because of braces), no one wanted to buy a factory MPX SBR that they couldn't have until the stamp comes through. Most people will buy the pistol and run a brace, or use it as a pistol until the stamp comes back to make an SBR.

Soooo., it was just collecting dust. For the price, I decided it was worth it compared to what they normally go for. I do like it, but I much prefer my Scorpion.
