Mercedes masterclass. That was a perfectly executed strategy from the start of the race.

Piastri, wow. NOR should be worried - PIA pace towards the end of the first half of the season is something to be talked about and another race where NOR flubbed the start.

This is what we want to see, good clean racing, no real mistakes, great fights at all times, Ferrari only making a small strategic mistake. Good stuff

A 1-2 for MERC!

The pace was there for MERC, very much unexpected. But this is completely unexpected. RUS took the gamble and won, well deserved.

I wonder if Checo got the FL.
If so, Max&RB did very good fighting off his main competitor NOR in the WDC.
That is all that counts for the moment for Max.

Checo got that FL on softs like you suggested.

For sure shortening that DRS zone changed Spa as a track where easy overtaking is far less easy now.

The NOR/PIA position swap is going to be huge now and it’s why you don’t give away points when you’re trying to compete for a drivers championship. Doesn’t help that NOR continues to screw up his race starts.

RUS was P7 at the startgrid . This means the Benz pitstop strategy was like magic.

I'm pretty sure , The Benz is back !

Think if MAX had an extra set of hards , if it had changed anything.
Think MAX lost a lot of time in traffic and the whole race he had to run in dirty air.
And the Red Bull undercuts didn't worked today...

I think I was right . MAX couldn't win today . But yesterday I was thinking that the win was for a papaya car .

From drivers championship, doesn’t matter. For Constructors, will have to see if Mercedes can pass Ferrari but doesn’t look good for HAM regardless, Mercedes seems all in with Kimi and HAM was looking for more than a 1 + 1 so, HAM would probably be at Mercedes for 2 years before Mercedes would move on.

They worked enough to keep Lando at bay.
Lando staying out longer in the 1st stint was a mistake.
I think they focussed too much on his position in the race at that time and not enough on his position compared to Max' position.
